Story
SCARY - Only a couple of weeks to go, so the dance practice is getting serious now, but how good's the fundraising!!! It's great to see friends, colleagues, clients, etc from near and far providing their support. A sincere thank you to everyone for their support - It's FANTASTIC!!!
I've increased my target from $5,000 to $7,500, so hopefully we get there, ........ and don't forget the chance to win a case of wine (donated by Langmeil Winery from the Barossa Valley, www.langmeilwinery.com.au).
My original message..................
I thought that I could leave dancing to Memphis (and Max at the annual Cooma Dance Co show), but looks like Sandy and Carolyn have got me! Shara has a big job ahead of her, finding my right foot somewhere, but it'll be a lot of fun!
Thanks to my support crew from Boyce and for Sabrina and the kids for putting up with me being out with the upcoming practice sessions, etc. Thanks also to my sister, Emma, and Langmeil Winery for donating a case of wine to be raffled for those donating over $5.
MCCR is a great cause and if we fail to impress the judges on the night, at least we can give the fundraising a good nudge. Thanks to all my supporters and donors - I've set a fairly big target, but hopefully for the sake of those who need it, we can smash the target!
Activity
Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
