Story
Thank you to everyone that has donated, not just to me but to all the stars, the response is overwhelming! The dancing practice is sooooo much fun, I am doing fairly well with learning the different moves and now just have to remember the routine from start to finish. Sometimes this is easier said than done as Mark just enjoys the dancing so much we completely forget where we are up to. Still a bit of time to go so should be OK by the night.
I am Married to Bede with 2 children, Fergus 20 years and Holly 18 years.
Born in South Australia in 1960, have just turned the big five oh! and this dancing with the stars is to be my 50th birthday celebration.
Attended Agricultural College in Orange and then worked in Cooma for Boyce & Co for 5 years, have been running Snowy Camping World with Bede and team for 21 years.
I am a keen social horse rider, enjoy being with my friends and family but value my private time gardening, reading and farming. I am getting forgetful but I reassure myself that it is only because there is not enough space in my head to remember absolutely everything!
I am very content! Happy with my lot! Not complicated! Optimistic about everything and enjoy 'nearly' everything I do.
My very enthusiastic and hopefully patient partner, Mark Nolan, is quietly confident that he can teach me the finer moves of 'Swing'. We will see on the night won't we!
Activity
Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
